September 01, 1950 Direct Care Supervisor Married 4
I work for home care services, where we assist & enable elderly &/or disabled persons to live at home independently.  I live in Washington and we have 8 beautiful grandchildren. I thoroughly enjoyed attending CHS & living in Coronado, naturally!  I was in the marching band & have some fond memories.  I plan on visiting 'Nado July 4th to visit my parents and to finally attend a reunion.  I can hardly believe it's been 40 years! December 09, 1950 Medical Speech Pathologist Married
I am so excited about this reunion even though I still stay in contact with many of my girlfriend classmates.  Thanks, John for the suggestions on how to spruce up --maybe you could sponsor a 'botox bucks ' bucket so all of us in need could look a little less than 57.  I'll be first on the list.  My husband Michael and I are still enjoying racing cars, fly fishing and travelling.  We will be attending the Formula One Race in Montreal in June.  See you all at the reunion and I'll be sure to keep the sunglasses on (unless John comes through). April 17, 1950 Former English/French teacher and computer programmer Married 2
First of all, a big thank you to everyone on the reunion committee for their extraordinary work.  How to sum up 40 years?  I graduated from San Diego State with a double major in English and French. With no job prospects in sight,  I travelled and worked in Europe, mostly France, and then returned to the U.S. to get my teaching degree. After five years as a high school teacher in Longview, Washington, I went back to school to study computer programming in Seattle.  There I met my husband of 23 years, Seth Arlow, an anesthesiologist.  We have two children, one Golden retriever and two cats. We've done some travelling - Europe, Nepal, Thailand, Mexico and Canada, but would love to do more during our retirement years. Unfortunately, we have travel plans for July and won't be able to make the reunion. Perhaps we'll see you for the 50th.  Have fun! Send Vicky a MessageSend Vicky a Message

Hi all, I had a great time at the reunion. Sign me up for the 45th!
Where did the forty years Go? I fondly remember playing Drums at the school dances,   women's club and military bases around San Diego in the 60s. Remember the Bands of Coronado at the time-The Nobles, Coachmen,  Cubic Feet, Rogues, West Coast Iron Works, New Britons, Centaurs, Squires, Family Jewels and of course The London Beats? What a great time to grow up in Coronado! See more at: http://www.coronadobands.com

I continued in the entertainment business as a Musician, DJ, Audio Engineer and Disco designer until it finally took it's toll, The party ended in the early 90s. Friends tell me I had fun, I will have to take their word for it.
Since then I have changed careers and now work in the Security field for the Air Force and Army (who would have thought!) Turns out I should have taken Electronics instead of Auto Shop and Band in High School, Oh well!
I have traveled to 16 Countries, 48 states and Hundreds of cities since the 70s. I still travel 300 days a year for the Military.
Life has been really different for me but I wouldn't change a thing!

I hope more people participate in this web site and attend the reunion.

I wish everyone a long and Happy life! Dean

I miss Coronado and the great years spent there.? It is a great place to grow up.
People always said I had lots of patience and should teach.? So I do - at a high school. Twenty years of math and now computer science. Photography is my main hobby since I learned how to process and print in during high school.? Now its all digital but still fun.

December 01, 1950 Merchant Marine Officer Married 2

Countdown, Classmates!

Has it really been five years?! Sure doesn't seem so, but I guess that's true enough. I'm finally off the deep-seas runs, although am keeping my hand in the industry by regularly attending vessels in a marine consulting capacity. As a result, I'm home more now than I've been in the last 34 revoultions around the sun, and have been thoroughly enjoying the experience. No clinging to bulkheads in storms, biting my tongue in dealing with testy shore communications, demands and directions, no more madly maneuvering through small-boat traffic in congested waters and fog.

Fortunately, I was able to remain in touch with many of you during the half-decade, and even convinced one particularly courageous '68 soul to visit my Ship on her final port stop in San Diego, and then to also brave the rigors on our property up here in the Great Northwest. J-Lit was an absolute hit with the Family, don't you know, not that that is of any surprise. (By the way, do ask him about his phenomenal Candle Trick, won't you? My words cannot adequately describe the eventt.. ) For the rest of you in the future, our offer remains open.

Laura and I will, of course, be attending the extravaganza in July 2013 - a little older, a little wiser, but no less excited to be meeting up again with those outstanding personalities who shared the formative days right along with me, and have, no doubt whatsoever, survived the ensuing ride quite nicely!

See You,

Rick
